Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prpared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is P1P729B1A08. The acquisition is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. This acquisition is not 100% small business set aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 561499. Contractors shall provide a quote for the following Contract Line Items (CLIN): CLIN 1. Removal and Destruction Services of IRS Sensitive, but unclassified material (estimate 270 tons per year) from the IRS Headquarters, Washington DC and New Carrollton Federal Building, New Carrollton, MD in accordance with Statement of Work. The period of performance is from Date of Award through December 31, 2001; CLIN 2. Option Year 1 -- January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002; CLIN 3. Option Year 2 -- January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003; CLIN 4. Option Year 3 -- January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004. No telephone requests will be honored. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following additional FAR clause is attached to this provision: 52.216-1, Type of Contract. Evaluation/Award will be made to that offeror who quote meets the requirements in the Statement of Work and is most advantageous to the government. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3,Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with its offer (copy will be attached to SOW). The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following additional FAR clause is attached to this provision: 52.217-7, Option for Increased Quantity-Separately Priced Line Item.
