Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk, Detachment Washington, intends to award a sole source contract to CYTYC Corporation to provide services to the Anatomic Pathology Division Laboratory Medicine Department, National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. The services will provide for an automated slide preparation processor utilizing consumable reagents and materials to collect liquid used gynecologic cervical cancer specimens and prepare thin layer microscope slides foe cervical cancer screening. The contractor will provide all supplies/services necessary to accomplish the required services at National Naval Medical Center, (NNMC), 8901 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20889-5600. The resultant contract is anticipated to be a Firm-Fixed Price -- contract with a base year period of 12 months with four (4) one-year options. FAR 52.217-8 "Option to Extend Services" will be included in this contract. Delivery will be FOB destination. A Sole-Source Justification and Approval has been approved.
