Description

Solicitation N00421-01-Q-0034 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is set aside for small business. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with Bird Electronics Corporation for the part number listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The contract line item number and description is **CLIN 0001 Quantity 14 ea P/N AT-100 Antenna Tester, 2 to 136 MHZ, CLIN 0002 Quantity 16 ea Test Set, Thruline Wattmeter. Bird Electronics assembles the "Test Set" specifically for USSOCOM use, which includes all necessary elements packaged neatly into a small carrying case, which is a critical elelment to this requirement. Award is expected 14 November 2000. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 17 November 2000 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
