Description

This notice hereby cancels the previous CBD announcement to purchase a Moriah Wind/METOC system under Solicitation N68335-00-R-0210 issued in FY00. The Naval Air Warfare Center now intends to issue RFP N68335-01-R-0061 for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the delivery of commercial off the shelf (COTS)/Non-developmental Items (NDI) hardware (anemometers, processors, interfaces, displays, associated cable and connections and mountings, etc) and services for the integration, test, installation and/or ILS support of that hardware for a Moriah Wind system capability only. A separate procurement for the METOC portion will be separately announced by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego CA in the near future. For the Wind System, the Government anticipates issuing a firm fixed-price IDIQ contract award with requirements to be ordered on an individual delivery order basis during the system demo stage as well as for limited and full rate production. Multiple awards may be issued. The number of potential Moriah Wind platforms may be between 200 and 250 vessels depending on configuration issues and fleet needs. The RFP (model contract and Instructions portions) will be made available in Word 6.0 format at http:///www.navair.navy.mil/business/ecommerce/index.cfm. The technical requirements (Statement of Work and performance specifications) will be sent to prospective offerors on a CD under separate cover. Prospective offerors are advised to monitor the web site listed above for RFP release, currently estimated for approximately Mid-December 2000.
