Description
Solicitation N00244-01-T-0062, including the text description, closing date and period of performance, is hereby amended to incorporate the following questions and their answers. The questions were received in response to the original solicitation and amendment posted to the Commerce Business Daily on November 1, 2000 And November 6, 2000 respectively. The closing date is hereby extended to November 17, 2000. The period of performance is hereby changed to read December 01, 2000 through September 30, 2001. (Q) 1) Are the addresses pre-qualified? Is that the reason that some have no speeds listed next to them? Because no DSL is available at this time? (A) Yes, most of the stations were pre-qualified approx. 2 months ago, other stations may now be qualified. (Q) 2) If there is no DSL available to those addresses for now, can the vendor specify that these have to remain open issues because their availability is unknown, therefore the pricing will also be unknown? (A) Yes, those stations are to be added on to the contract when services become available. (Q) 3) The solicitation speaks to 3 specific speeds; however, most of the addresses with speeds listed have much faster speeds requested. To which speed should I bid? (A) To simplify this contract, quote on a minimum of 144 Kbps ADSL or up to a maximum of 768/768 Kbps SDSL. Ensure that each location will have a total of 5 TCP/IP addresses available to them. (Q) 4) On the listings that have speeds next to them, there are two speeds listed. Which SDSL speed is preferred? (A) 768/768 Kbps or the highest available. (Q) 5) If there is no speed listed, and they are eligible for more than one SDSL speed, which do I choose? The fastest? Or the average of the ones listed under other addresses? (A) 768/768 Kbps or the highest available.
