Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13. GSA/FTS, Great Lakes Region is announcing its intent to negotiate and award a sole source contract to SBC Global Services, Inc. Services are deemed to be available only from the original source in this case of a follow-on contract, it is likely that award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. A written solicitation will not be issued. NAICS Code 811212 applies. The small business size standard is $11 million in annual receipts. This requirement is for fixed price line items as follows: CLIN 0001, Hardware Maintenance Support Services Covers: a) 1 Sun Ultra Enterprise IIA, b) 3 Paradyne 3820 Modem, c) 1 Paradyne 3810 4-Wire Modem d) 2 Lantronix Terminal Servers; CLIN 0002, Software Maintenance Support Services Covers: a) 1 MIS Ultra2 RL 13.0, b) 350 Agents, c) 25 Supervisors. Current contract provides maintenance support service twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. The contract provides emergency maintenance support services within two (2) hours after notification. Maintenance services include preventive and remedial maintenance as required by the products' manufacturer's specifications, including parts. Replacement parts may be new or equivalent to new in performance. Delivery and acceptance of all services shall be F.O.B. Destination, Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Cleveland, OH. Delivery of all services shall be not later then December 1, 2000. Duration of the contract period is 12 months with an option for 12 additional months. The contract type shall be firm-fixed price. All respondents will be considered in accordance with Note 22, however all offers received within 15 days (in lieu of 45 days) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government.
