Description

Treasure Island Job Corps Center is solicitiong bids for a medical services contract, by which general medical services will be devivered to the 850 Job Corps participants. Job Corps is a federally funded training and education program for youth age 16 to 24 years and who meet certain other criteria. the successful bidder will provide this service for a period of one (1) year, with the ability to provide services to the Center for two out years. Three bid components exist. 1. A full-time Center Physician to provide direct patient care and medical services for the Job Corps participants, related administrative work, and training for participants as well as Center staff. 2. A full-time Center Mental Health Professional who will provide professional mental health services to Job Corps participants 3 A full-time Nurse Practitioner who will assist and provide general health services to the 850 Job Corps participants. The successful bidder should be part of a larger medical service network, such as a teaching hospital, in order to better provide related training services as required under the Job Corjps Center Policy and Requirements hankbook(PRH). The successful bidder must also comply with all Federal Acquistion Regulation clauses and be compliant under all related federal statutory requirements and regulations. The period of performance for these services shall commence on 2/1/01. Bid packages are available by calling the contact points.
