Description

The Umatilla National Forest is issuing a Fiscal Year 2001 Fall Packet for Road 45 Arches. This is an opportunity for prospective bidders/offerors to view the project site prior to snowfall. Work consists of the removal of existing culverts at two stream crossings and the installation of open bottom structures with concrete foundations. The project is located in Grant County Oregon on the North Fork John Day Ranger District of the Umatilla National Forest. From Pendleton, Oregon travel south on Highway 395 approximately 60 miles to the intersection with Forest Service road 55. Travel approximately 0.6 miles on road 55 to the intersection with Forest Service road 10. Turn right on road 10 and travel approximately 21 miles to the intersection with road 45. Turn right on road 55 and travel approximately .2 miles to the North Fork of Desolation Creek project site. Continue on Road 45 approximately 1.0 mile to the South Fork of Desolation Creek project site. No formal pre-bid/pre-proposal tours will be scheduled. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued between approximately January 16, 2001 and February 1, 2001. Contract time is 396 days with an anticipated start work date of July 15, 2001.
