Description
The Government has a requirement for a Contractor to provide, deliver and install three (3) New Residential Mobile Houses for the United States Border Patrol Academy at the former US Naval Base in Charleston, SC. Each Mobile House shall be different in size and appearance and include at a minimum the following rooms: Multiple Bedrooms, Bathroom(s), Kitchen, Dining Room, and Living Room. Each Mobile House shall include integral utilities for heating and cooling. Mobile House No. 1 shall be single wide and have a minimum of 1,000 square feet; Mobile House No. 2 shall be double wide and have a minimum of 1,500 square feet; Mobile House No. 3 shall be double wide and have a minimum of 1,750 square feet. Mobile House No. 3 shall be connected to all utilities including: water, sewer and power; Mobile Houses No. 1 and No. 2 shall be connected to power only. (Note: Natural Gas is not available at the site.) The cost proposal for each House shall include: (1) a floor plan and elevations for each House proposed; (2)the cost of delivery, installation, skirting, structural stabilization, tie-downs, all appliances, entrance stairs, and handicapped access ramps; (3) delivery schedule and Contract completion dates; and (4)an alternate price for connection to the required utilities, including: excavation, backfill, tap fees, permits, etc., as indicated above. The site is a cleared flat and fenced area on Partridge Avenue, adjacent to four tennis courts and directly across the street from Wing 6 of Building 28. A proposed site plan showing approximate location of each Mobile House and existing utilities is available on request. The Mobile Houses shall be designed, constructed and installed to meet all applicable Federal, State and local codes. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all permits and inspections required by local authority, and the Contractor shall warranty these units for a minimum of one year from date of acceptance. Selection and award of this procurement will be based on the best value to the Government, including price and other factors. Evaluation criteria will include: (1)proposed quality of construction; (2)scheduled delivery and completion dates; (3)warranties; and (4)price. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards under this solicitation.
