- Description
- The work includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to renovate rooms C-301A, C-301B and C-302E on the third floor of Building 1 locate at the VAMC Miami, FL. Scope includes, but is not limited to as described in the construction documents, the demolition of the existing spaces and the addition of a raised floor computer equipment room, library, five (5) PAC's reading rooms plus film storage and reproduction space. New lighting, HVAC, direct digital controls, plus a preaction sprinkler system. The General Contractor is responsible for the proper disposal of all demolition and construction debris. The estimated cost range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The NAICS and small business size standard is 233320 -- $17.0. General Contractor must be located, either by virtue of his established main office or satellite operation base, within a 50 mile radius of this medical center. Bidding materials will be restricted to one set per contractor and will be on a "first come, first serve basis" A total of 30 sets of bidding materials will be available. A non-refundable amount of $50.00 for bidding materials is required in the form of a check, i.e. company, cashiers or money order. Note: No personnel checks will be accepted. Checks must be addressed to the Contracting Officer and made payable to the VA Medical Center, Miami, FL. Bidding materials can be obtained at the issuing office or by written application. Written application shall be in the form of the company's letterhead, which includes the company's complete name, address, office telephone and FAX number, e-mail address and a contact person. Solicitation package will be issued o/a November 30, 2000. A pre-proposal conference is schedule on December 14, 2000 at 10:00 AM, Room 2D117 Contracting Office. Attendance at the pre-proposal conference is strongly recommended, but is not mandatory. Offers must be received by the Contracting Officer by close of business December 28, 2000.
