- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation is issuing this sources sought notice to identify recipients interested in entering into a cooperative agreement with Reclamation for the design and installation of two passive fish barriers and three earthen water control structures at Beal Lake, Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, Needles, California. The purpose of the structures is to allow water to pass through the rock structures while preventing the migration or movement of non-native fish larvae and eggs. The ponds, after removal of all fish species, will be monitored to assure the effectiveness of the rock structures. We anticipate that work will begin on or about December 11, 2000 in order to complete installing the fish barriers and water control structures during the low-flow period through January 2001. This work will be performed in conjunction with other on-going projects at the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge to develop 225 acres of open water for native fish habitat, 172 acres of moist soil units, and 46 acres for riparian revegetation. Potential recipients should be familiar with, and have the resources to comply with, the regulations governing Federal financial assistance agreements, including but not limited to the requirements of OMB Circulars A-21, A-87, A-102, A-110, A-122, A-133. Sources capable, experienced, and interested in performing the above work should submit the following information about their capabilities: (1) a list of similar projects performed in the past three years; and (2) general organizational description and background. Please include your name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address with your response. You may send the information to the above point of contact in one of the following three ways: (1) By facsimile to (702) 293-8499; (2) By mail to Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, Attention: LC-3104, P.O. Box 61470, Boulder City, Nevada 89006-1470; or (3) By e-mail to rbelew@lc.usbr.gov. Responses should be submitted no later than close of business on November 24, 2000.
