Description

The Naval Aviation Depot located at the Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for wire shelf trucks. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M00146-01-Q-N024 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19 and Defense Acquisition Circular 98-21. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for Small Business and is under the North American Industry Classification System code 421830, with a small business size standard of 100 employees. This requirement is for a firm fixed priced contract, brand name or similar for the following items: 44 each wire shelf trucks, C&H Distributor's P/N 48-624(09), color: yellow; 39 each wire shelf trucks, P/N 48-624(02), color: red; 16 each wire shelf trucks, P/N 48-624(29), color: black. Specifications are: Open wire design to maximize airflow, minimize dust and dirt accumulation and provide enhanced visibility for inventory management. Four-shelf cart. Shelves to adjust in 2" increments. 5" polyurethane casters and 1200-lb. Capacity. Dimensions: 70" high x 60" wide x 24" deep, approx 120 lbs. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The required delivery date for the above item is 30 days after receipt of order or sooner. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this Request for Quotation to the technically acceptable, responsive, responsible offeror based on price alone. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and are to remain in full force in any resultant purchase order: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers -- Commercial Items (Mar 2000). FAR 52.212-3 Alternate I, Offer Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items (Oct 1998), a completed copy of this provision shall be submitted with the offer. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items (May 1999), is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition with the following addendum; DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 1998). The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (Aug 2000), to include clauses (10) (11) (12) (13) (14) (20) (23) and (25). DARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (Sep 99), applies with the following clauses applicable for paragraph (b); DFARS 252.206-7000, Domestic Source Restriction; DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program; DFARS 252.225-7012, and Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities. The request for quote is to be priced FOB "destination" FAR 52.247-34. Request for quote must be received no later than 3:oo PM, local time, 04 December 2000. All quotes not sent through the US mail will be considered to be hand carried and direct delivered. Hand carried quotes (excluding Email and faxes) must be delivered directly to building 159, first floor, MCAS, Cherry Point, NC, Contracting Department. Direct delivery of quote is only possible during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. As of 31 May 1999, all Contractors must be registered in the Central Registration (CCR) Database as a condition of contract award.
