Description

The U.S. Army Soldier, Biological Chemical Command's -- Natick Soldier Center (USASBCCOM-NSC) proposes to enter into a sole source contract action with Canvas Specialty Inc. of Los Angeles, CA. This proposed contract is for repair parts for the Large Area Maintenance Shelters (LAMS), which the U.S. Army procured under a previous contract, and for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The LAMS are large complex shelters with requirements to meet multiple environmental and tactical threats including 90-100 mph winds loads, worldwide temperature extremes blackout and signature reduction. Replacement parts consist of numerous components that must integrate into existing systems. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation currently exists. Note 22 is hereby amended to read 15 days instead of 45.
