Description
Air Force Research Laboratory, Sensors Directorate (AFRL/SN) solicits research proposals for the Phenomenology and Algorithms for Radar-based Damage Indication and Assessment (PARDIA) program. The purpose is to fund research of needs/issues/limitations/barriers to using radar data to indicate and/or assess damage to targets and to develop algorithms to solve these problems. Three basic questions that need to be addressed are: 1) which features in pre-, post-, and through-strike radar data are exploitable for helping to ascertain whether or not a target has been damaged, especially when geometrical differences between the damaged and undamaged targets are small compared to radar imaging resolution; 2) what algorithms will effectively use radar data for BDA; 3) how can the level of damage be determined from radar data. Interested offerors may view and/or download the full BAA solicitation by accessing the Electronic Posting System (EPS) homepage at http://www.eps.gov/. Direct questions to the Contracting point of contact identified in the announcement.
