Description
The Egyptian Antiquities Project (EAP) of the American Research Center in Egypt, Inc. (ARCE) under its USAID Grant No. 263-G-00-93-00089-00, Restoration and Preservation of Egyptian Antiquities, is soliciting priced proposals from qualified, experienced professional organizations & individuals for conservation projects in Egypt that meet the goals of ARCE/EAP. ARCE/EAP's prime focus is on projects that will result in actual conservation intervention not just studies and recommendations. Proposals will be competitively evaluated. Review and selection process may take up to four (4) months. Approximately six (6) additional months are estimated for conclusion of review leading to a signed subagreement and for approval by government authorities before the work can commence. The RFP in no way commits ARCE to make any award, nor does it commit ARCE to pay any cost incurred in the preparation and submission of a proposal or in advance of a signed subagreement. The RFP is available from the ARCE/EAP office in Cairo and the ARCE/US office at Emory University West Campus, 1256 Briarcliff Rd, NE, Building A, Suite 423 W, Atlanta, GA; Fax: 404-712-9849; E-Mail: ctomase@emory.edu and is scheduled to become available at www.arce.org. When requesting the RFP, please provide the name of the individual or organization and contact person(s), address, telephone, fax and e-mail numbers. When downloading from the website, it is the individual's and/or organization's responsibility to notify either the Cairo office or the Atlanta office of contact information to ensure receipt of clarification(s) or addenda to the RFP. Neither technical nor cost information or proposals should be sent by facsimile transmission or by E-Mail. The two separate volumes of the proposal (technical and cost) prepared in response to the RFP issued November 15, 2000 are due at the ARCE/EAP Office in Cairo, Egypt on or before 1300 hours Cairo time Sunday, April 1, 2001.
