Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Hicklin Engineering, LC, Des Moines, IA for repair/upgrade of "Transdyne" transmission test stand, model no. HTDE, S/N 1102. The equipment is located at Building 2200, Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, Georgia. This is a sole source procurement due to the proprietary nature of the parts required for maintenance and extended warranty repair. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a request for proposals or quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source or offerors are available and more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase order will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
