Description

The intent of this solicitation is to obtain whole-site Military Family Housing Maintenance/Repair, Grounds Maintenance, and other related services at the Naval Air Station, Lemoore, California. The housing maintenance/repair services shall include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of approximately 1300 Navy housing facilities which include: routine service calls, preventive maintenance inspection and repair, unscheduled maintenance and repair services and change of occupancy maintenance. The grounds maintenance services shall include: irrigation of all landscaped areas; irrigation system maintenance/repair; soil analysis, remediation and maintenance of soil chemistry; complete maintenance of all turf areas including mowing, edging, and fertilizing; tree maintenance, pruning, fertilizing and new tree planting; dead tree removal; complete plant bed maintenance including new planting, plant replacement, pruning, trimming, weeding, mulching, and fertilizing; maintenance of all recreation areas, playgrounds, equipment and structures. Other services include refuse collection and disposal, custodial services, interior and exterior painting, bathtub, shower, and sink refinishing, removal and replacement of kitchen and bathroom equipment and fixtures, floor covering and hardwood floor refinishing, removal and installation of household appliances, removal and installation of gas-fired air furnaces, air conditioning and energy management systems and general labor services. Performance in expected to begin with phase-in on or about 1 April 2001. The proposed procurement shall be issued for a combination Firm Fixed-Price/Indefinite Quantity contract with an award fee provision. The contract term will be one base year and four (4) option years. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8744 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 56121 and the related small business size standard is $20,000,000.00. The contract will be awarded to the firm providing the proposal with the best value to the Government using the evaluation criteria outlined in the solicitation. THE GOVERNMENT WILL ISSUE THIS SOLICITATION THROUGH THE INTERNET ON OR ABOUT 1 DECEMBER 2000. Hard copies will NOT be directly provided nor CDs.
