Description
NASA, John F. Kennedy Space Center intends to extend the period of performance for the Operations Support Services for NASA's Vandenburg Launch Site at Vandenburg AFB CA. Under contract NAS10-12060, Space Mark Inc., Colorado Springs CO, provides mission based support which includes the following: payload processing consisting of long-range planning, coordination, technical documentation; requirements processing and scheduling; operational support consisting of coordinating SCAPE requirements with the USAF, serving of spacecraft fueling equipment, transportation and off loading of spacecraft; operation of telemetry, office automation, television, and operational intercom systems; facility support consisting of operation, maintenance, management and modification of assigned facilities, systems, and equipment; support services such as logistics, administrative, security, inspection, procurement, and training services. Service will be continued through 30 Jun 01. This extension will be issued pursuant to contract clause FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. By exercising this option the Government can complete the follow-on acquisition now identified as the Expendable Launch Vehicle Integrated Support (ELVIS). Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time no later than 15 days after posting. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. No solicitation will be issued. No award will be based on any offer or proposal received in response to this notice. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
