Description

Work consists of diversion of existing stream during project construction and removal of an existing timber pile and concrete dam structure. Excavation of approximately 26,000 cubic yard material from above the dam and placement of 16,000 cubic yard of fill material below the dam. Construction of 36 H-pile and concrete weirs in seven weir groups to control vertical grade through the 2000 foot stream reach. Construction of an estimated 3000 linear feet of riprap and vegetated bank protection. Placement of rootwads and boulders as habitat features. Revegetation of banks, staging areas, and construction access roads. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications package. This solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on CD-Rom format only. Disks will be available on or about 15 Dec 2000 at no charge per set, issued on a first come, first served basis. No phone requests accepted. Firms desiring a copy of the EBS must register via the Internet at the following address: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct/. The disks will be mailed when available. They are also available from the District Plans Room Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 with a completion period of 420 calendar days. For the purposes of this procurement a concern in considered a small business if its average annual receipts are $27.5 million or less. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 234990 . The proposed procurement is SBA Set-aside, to result in a firm fixed price contract.
