Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis for a responsible, qualified firm with the capacity and capability to perform the repair, alteration and refurbishing of four (4) passenger and two (2) freight elevators located in Building 1 of the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Ave, Syracuse, NY 13210. Work involves but is not limited to retaining existing overhead gearless traction machines, secondary sheaves, machine beams, main and counterweight rails, buffers, counterweights, entrance frames, sills, hanger supports, strut angles, fascia plates and toe guards, slings and governors, car safety devices, platforms, cabs and hoistway doors. Provide new conductors, traveling cables, Microprocessor Control System and other items as specified to modernize elevator and update to meet ADA standards. Estimated cost of project is between 1 and 2 million dollars. NASICS code is 235950 and Small Business size standard is $11.5 Mil average annual receipts. Interested firms shall indicate their size standard as it applies to the Small Business Size standard. Firms must be capable of submitting Bid, Performance and Payment Bonds. This is not a request for Proposal. Solicitation is not available at this time, it is expected to issued in 1/01 for performance to begin late Spring. All interested firms must respond in writing.
