Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) submits this Request for Proposal (RFP) No. N00039-01-R-3201 for the award of up to two (2) Firm Fixed Priced Contracts for the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) design concept reports, engineering reports, and program exection reports to develop and manufacture ship, submarine, and shore-based Navy AEHF inboard satellite communications terminal equipment. This is a full and open competition. The expected period of performance is seven (7) months with a Not-to-Exceed base contract value for each contract of $900,000. There also is the potential for options for an additional 6 months of effort supporting Air Force and foreign government requirements. Interested sources are asked to refer to the SPAWAR Headquarter's Business Opportunities (BOP) web page at http://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil to download the RFP package. The RFP package available on the SPAWAR headquarters BOP will not be directly provided in paper hardcopy format. Notifications of changes to the solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the SPAWAR BOP. A bidders mailing list will not be established. It is the responsibility of any interested sources to check the SPAWAR Headquarter's BOP for the RFP package and any other notices pertaining to this solicitation. This is a continuation of the Navy's efforts for executing the AEHF capability as synopsized on February 11, 2000 (notice number 424631) and September 29, 2000 (notice number 502,538).
