Description

The NAVSTAR Global Positioning System Joint Program Office, GPS Antenna Systems Program Office intends to modify the existing contract F04701-96-C-0050 to procure additional GAS-1 Antenna systems (300 each Controlled Reception Pattern Array (CRPA)(AS-3821A/ARN P/N 01-01664/001, NSN: 5985-01-352-9676) and 400 each Antenna Electronics(AE)(AS-3820C/AR P/N 808352/000, NSN: 5985-01-447-0682). Delivery destination and schedule varies. Duration of contract extension period is 24 months. Intended source is Raytheon Systems Limited of Harlow, United Kingdom authorized under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Raytheon Systems Limited is the sole manufacturer of GAS-1s and is the only known company capable of providing the production requirement within the specified time period. Interested parties are invited to submit a Statement of Capabilities (SOC) which includes the following information: a technical description of the antenna system sufficient for a government evaluation of the antenna as equivalent to GAS-1 antenna system and the information required by Note 25. See Note 26. Interested offerors must submit a SOC that clearly shows they are qualified to perform this effort. SOC should be sent to SMC/CZK, 2345 Vela Way, Suite 1613, Los Angeles AFB, CA 90245-5500 (Attn: David Smith). If no affirmative responses are received by 21 Dec 2000 to the effect that a comparable source is available, a modification will be issued to the current contract. No contract award will be made on the basis of offers or proposals received in response to this notice.
