These offices include SSA Headquarters located in Baltimore, Maryland, SSA Regional and Field Offices located throughout the United States and its territories and protectorates and State Disability Determination Services Offices. SSA requires maintenance service for Token Ring LANs using Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and IBM compatible 586 base processors. The LAN and associated workstations consist of workstations, file servers, laser printers and remote and local bridges. The system devices consist of network interface cards, modems, additional memory, various dot matrix printers, network support devices, and other components. The maintenance requirement consist of 1) remedial on-call maintenance for components including network devices, cable plant and all other LAN devices attached or operating on the networks, 2) preventive maintenance on laser printers to be performed on an as needed basis and 3) movement of equipment. Remedial maintenance calls have a return to service by close of business the next day. Approximately 5 relocations are expected to be performed per year per Region. The majority of the relocations will be in the same geographical location (within 50 miles). Respondents who are currently performing support consistent with these requirements are asked to provide information about corporate experience and or capabilities, and indicate whether these services are available through your GSA Schedule, (please include a copy of your GSA Schedule if they are available on schedule), to the above address within fifteen calendar days from the date of publication of this announcement.
