Description

The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified firms for the design-build of a new facility on a USPS-owned site as follows: approximately 25,801 SF main office on a USPS-owned site of approximately 142,006 SF located at the southwest corner of Commerce Way and La Quinta Circle in La Quinta Corporate Center., La Quinta CA. The design-build contractor will be responsible for completing the design documents while conforming to postal medium standard building design (MSBD) requirements. The work may include design and construction of off-site improvements, and utility improvements and connections. Coordination with local jurisdictions, application, payment and submission for plan check and permits will be required and is the responsibility of the design-build contractor. The work is to be completed within 360 days after receipt of notice to proceed. Estimated range is $2,500,000-$3,500,000. The minority subcontracting goal for this contract is 11%. The contractor must submit a report to the contracting officer each quarter describing all subcontract awards to small, minority, or woman-owned businesses.
