Description

The Defense Logistics Agency is engaging with Hamilton Sundstrand on a Strategic Supplier Alliance from which DLA plans to award contracts for items which HS is the only approved manufacturer. The total population of DLA managed consumable items that may be included in the contracts is 16,923 and the acquisition has the potential of expansion to add the military service consumable and reparable items at a later time. The Alliance contracts will provide for the provisioning of items from the supplier to DoD customers based on past demand patterns. The contractor will be responsible for a range of services that may include forecasting, purchasing, inventory management, quality control, receipt, storage, packaging, and transportation of specified parts required to support customer requirements. Defense Supply Center Richmond and Defense Supply Center Columbus will contract for these items using a phased approach. Initially the contracts will cover the C130 Hub and Blade items and additional groups of items will be added based on agency need.
