Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Panama City, Florida, intends to award a sole source order for a multi-mission man pack radio to HARRIS CORPORATION. This action is not suitable for full and open competition for the following reasons: Harris Corporation is the only provider of the AN/PRC-117F radio. Coastal Systems Station ASE l Lab conducts capability and compatibility testing of voice and data radios, and provides radio communications services to military units exercising in our area. The AN/PRC-117F IS a new UHF voice radio being purchased for evaluation, and to improve this ASE Lab radio communications suite.*****
