- Description
- The United States Postal Service (USPS) intends to pre-qualify respondents capable of providing commercially available Inbound Call Center Teleservices. This notice supercedes submission No. 407608 dated, December 10, 1999. SYSTEMS INTEGRATORS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS EFFORT. The USPS has a program designed to improve and standardize USPS telephone customer service and operating efficiency through the establishment of an effective call-handling infrastructure. The USPS has created this program to address the needs of its customers. As part of this initiative, the USPS may establish a supplier provided , staffed and managed call center facility with enough physical capacity to seat 250 to 300 logged-on agents at busy peak half-hours. The center should handle its first call on September 10, 2001, and handle a total of approximately 415,000 calls per week no later than March 22, 2002. Therefore, the USPS seeks suppliers who can effectively and dynamically deploy the necessary number of logged on agents at busy peak half hours as required by call volumes estimated for the duration of the 1-year base period and potential option periods. The primary purpose for establishing this center(s) is to serve the public interest by providing easy access to USPS services. By capitalizing on existing call center industry experience and expertise, the USPS can minimize its cost. Supplier-operated centers will also enable the USPS to take advantage of the supplier's ability to deploy flexible workforces to meet fluctuating customer call volumes. Interested respondents capable of successful performance of this requirement should contact the Contracting Officer as indicated below to receive a complete copy of the DRAFT SOW, INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION APPLICATION and PERFORMANCE PLAN. All Prequalification responses are due not later than 4:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time on December 8, 2000 to: U.S. Postal Service Attention: Michael Whisler 475 L'Enfant Plaza SW Washington, DC 20260-6237 Room 4541 E-mail: mwhisle1@email.usps.gov Voice: 202.268.5619
