Description

This is a sole source synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Anacomp, Inc., 12365 Crosthwaite Circle, Poway, CA 92064, is the only developer and only source that can provide hardware and software maintenance for the Product Manager(PM) Personnel Electronic Record Management System(PERMS) hardware located at 4 Army records centers. The hardware services will consist of preventative and remedial maintenance on an "on-call" basis. The software maintenance shall consist of but not limited to installation of Maintenance Releases and related documentation to the software. The services must be provided by the technical support staff between 6:00AM and 5:00PM, Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday, excluding observed holidays to diagnose and undertake corrective actions to applications problems or to provide assistance in the development of new applications. Software and licenses are proprietary with no other available source. The software and licenses are required and must be available for both routine and emergency maintenance services. FEDSIM will issue a firm-fixed-price purchase order utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance the FAR Part 13. A sole source proposal is being requested for LO#2001-7164. This solicitation incorporates all of the applicable provisions and clauses as through FAC 52-20, as if stated in full text as well as the terms and conditions of FAR Part 52.212-1. These maintenance services will be for a 12 month period.
