- This project was previously advertised on 23 Jun 2000 as F61101-00-RA012. If you previously requested this solicitation, you do not need to re-request. This project provides for the consolidation and repair by replacement of eight worn-out stand-by steam boilers located in buildings #593 and #1401, Thule AB, Greenland. Three (3) new stand-by steam boilers with a total capacity of 66,000-LB steam per hour will be located in building #341 to support the consolidation of the steam distribution system. Existing stand-by steam boilers will be abandoned in place. The award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. Magnitude: $1,000,000 -- $5,000,000. The anticipated performance period is between 16 July 2001 and 30 November 2001. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered. The summer at Thule Air Base is extremely short and shipment of materials can only take place in June/July. Special Note: All discussion leading to contract award shall take place at the Contracting Office located in the Embassy of the United States of America, Copenhagen, Denmark. All parties responding to this synopsis and any costs incurred as a result of subsequent discussions prior to award of contract are the sole responsibility of the interested parties. Interested parties can obtain a copy of the solicitation, specifications and drawings by requesting in writing to, Detachment 1, 21 Contracting Squadron, PSC 73, APO AE 09716 or Detachment 1, 21 Contracting Squadron, U.S. Embassy, Dag Hammarskjolds Alle 24, DK 2100 Copenhagen O, Denmark. Please provide your e-mail address. It is anticipated the solicitation and all specifications and drawings will be available electronically, however, they will also be made available via CD-ROM. If you require a CD-ROM, your Federal Express Account Number will be required. The project will also be forwarded via courier service to interested parties cash on delivery (COD). The solicitation is restricted to interested parties in the United States, Denmark and Greenland only. Funds for this project are not currently available, however, it is expected funds they will be available either by Jan 2001. See Note 22; however, only a portion of the materials to be purchased under this contract are restricted to a sole-source manufacturer. The entire project is open for competition.
