Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Dahlgren, VA, intends to issue a firm-fixed price purchase order for re-tuning a quantity of seven (7) frequency transmitters in AN/DKT-27C Telemeters with L3 Communications, Aydin Corp, Aydin Telemetery, 47 Friends Lane, Newtown, PA 18940-0328. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. L3 Communications was the original builder of the AN/DKT-27C telemeters and therefore have already established the procedures for Functional Testing, Acceptance Testing, and RMS Random Vibration profiles (TP005-23861). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement and may submit information which shall be considered by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action based on responses to this notice is solely within the Government's discretion.
