Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to issue a solicitation to acquire Medical Consultant (MC) Services in the specialty of Neurology. This service will be procured using Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 procedures. The services will be performed at the SSA Atlanta Office located at 61 Forsyth St., SW Atlanta, GA 30303. The contractor_s responsibilities include: providing oral and/or written consultations resulting from reviews of SSA disability case files; consulting with SSA_s medical policy staff related to development of disability policies; training other MC contractors and other personnel; working with government and non-government agencies and/or medical personnel with related interests in providing input regarding SSA programs and objectives. The period of performance shall be one year or date of award, whichever is later, through December 31, 2001, with provisions for four 1 year options. The solicitation number is SSA-01-7604-RFQ-02 and is scheduled for release on or about December 4, 2000 with proposals due 15 days later. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. Proposals received from other than small business concerns will be deemed unacceptable and will be given no further consideration. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
