- Description
- The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) contemplates a non-competitive award to Disney Institute to provide approximately six (6) "Best-in-Business" seminars for Student Financial Assistance (SFA) middle managers, leaders, and operating partners. The seminars are expected to occur in Fiscal Year 2001. There will be between 40 and 60 participants in each session. Each seminar is expected to last four (4) days. The first seminar will be held in December 2000. The first seminar is to Benchmark SFA Plans against Walt Disney World's "Best-in-Business". Only Walt Disney World has established a specific unit to provide Walt Disney World "Best-in-Business" experiences to the public, business, and government the Disney Institute. This Institute was created to respond to the demand for learning opportunities at Disney first begun with Tom Peter's work, In Search of Excellence. The Disney Institute will provide a custom designed program tailored to the specific needs of SFA, that will help OSFA managers, leaders and operating partners learn how the "Disney Way" can be adapted to serve OSFA's customers.
