Description

This is a correction to a previously submitted Special Notice #5063U4. The Defense Information Systems Agency has scheduled a Briefing for Industry describing the planned 8(a) acquisition for contractor support for the operation and administration of the Local/Wide Area Network known as DISANet. Contract award is anticipated during fourth quarter of fiscal year 2001, with on-site support to commence at the beginning of fiscal year 2002. The Briefing to Industry on the planned acquisition is scheduled for Wednesday, 13 December 2000, from 0800 to 1200 hours, at the Dulles Days Inn Hotel and Conference Center, located at 2200 Centerville Road in Herndon, Virginia. This briefing will provide an overview of the planned 8(a) competitive award, briefly describe the current configuration of the DISANet, and outline the type of contractor support that will be required. Time will be allocated for a question and answer period at the end of the briefing. The DISANet Industry Day will be open to all contractors interested in competing for contract award.
