Description

The USPS is completing final site and building plans for a new leased building of 6,322 net interior square feet on a controlled site of 75,729 square feet. The subject site for this project is owned by the Postal Service. The USPS will Ground lease the property to the successful offeror for one dollar ($1.00) for the twenty year base lease term. The Ground Lease will terminate after the twenty year term and the land and all improvements and interests thereon will revert to the U.S. Postal Service. Offerors will be required to lease the site from USPS, construct the specified building and upon completion, agree to execute a lease with the Postal Service for the entire property. Any award made under this solicitation will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal is complete; conveys an appropriate level of experience and references to assure performance of the specified requirements; conveys a well considered development plan (i.e. construction cost assessment, identified financing/equity sources); and outlines a well-conceived and equitable rental package acceptable to the Postal Service. This is NOT a sealed bid advertisement and proposals will NOT be publicly opened. Solicitation packages will be available on or about November 20, 2000 for a $100.00 non-refundable fee.
