Description

Work involves repair of the Yaquina North Jetty at Newport, Oregon. The Yaquina North Jetty is half of a two-jetty system located at the entrance to Yaquina Bay at Newport, Oregon, approximately 130 miles south of the Columbia River entrance. Purpose of this acquisition will be to establish a broad bull nose jetty head section with larger stone that would be more stable than in the past. The jetty will be capped oceanward of its present location using stone weighing 18 to 46 tons each. Stone quantity will be approximately 20,000 to 35,000 tons. Anticipated time for placing stone is during the months of July, August and September. Other work will include mobilization/demobilization, quarry preparation, transportation of stone, on-jetty access road construction and restoration of the beach staging area. Anticipated equipment needed for the repair work is ringer crane, track cranes, barges, excavators, front-end loaders, dump trucks, and dozers. This procurement is unrestricted and open to large and small businesses. Competitive range is $5 10 Million.
