Description

The Gila River Indian Community (GRIC) is requesting sealed bids from General Contractors for the construction of a segment of the Pima-Maricopa Irrigation Project (P-MIP) water distribution system located on the GRIC Reservation along Price Road from Ocotillo Road, Maricopa County to Goodyear Road, Pinal County thence easterly mile parallel to Goodyear Road. This 4.27 miles of pipeline project is commonly known as "Memorial Area Pipeline, Reach MM-1A(B)" and consists of underground installation of 102" diameter (22,536 ft.) fiberglass reinforced polymer mortar or 108" diameter (22,536 ft.)concrete pressure pipe , respectively including 2 manholes and 1 siphon cleanout. The project duration is 300 calendar days, with estimated start date of March 2001. Price range is $13,000,000 to 16,000,000. Bidding documents will be available November 27, 2000 including Plans and Specifications which may be purchased by making payment of $200 (non-refundable) to the Tribal Cashier located in the Tribal Council Ke at the southwest corner of Pima and Main Streets, Sacaton, Arizona. Bid documents may then be picked up at the P-MIP Construction Office located at 192-A South Route "A" Street, Sacaton, Arizona. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on December 7, 2000 at 9:00 a.m. at the P-MIP Project Office. Bids are due on December 21, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. (MST) and shall be returned in sealed envelope clearly marked "Memorial Area Pipeline, Reach MM-1A(B)" to Connie Huenergardt at P.O. Box 97, 315 West Casa Blanca Road, Sacaton, Arizona. Bid opening will be at 2:30 p.m., following closing time, at P-MIP Project Office. Each bid shall be accompanied by a 10% Bid bond. All bidders are to comply with GRIC regulations and policies, including Community member preference in employment and Indian-owned Business preference as established by GRIC. An award shall be made to an Indian-owned economic enterprise, if it is within 10% of the lowest bid or $250,000, which ever is lowest.
