Description

Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, supplies, and supervision necessary for renovation of dormitory building 231 by providing 17 temporary living facilities (TLFs), to include but not limited to a standing seam roof, entry ways, drive under unloading and walk canopies, and interior remodeling as required to complete project as set forth in strict accordance with plans and specifications of the contract as specified in the Technical Provisions, JFSD 980054. The resulting contract will be a fixed price contract with a magnitude of $1,000,000 minimum and $5,000,000 maximum. The performance period will be 200 calendar days. Bid, Performance, and Payment Bonds will be required. This is a non-appropriated fund purchase and it does not obligate appropriated funds of the United States Government. NAF funds are generated by the military community through the sale of goods and services and the collection of fees and charges for participation in military community programs. This purchase does not involve Federal tax dollars. The government is considering whether or not to set aside this acquisition for HUBZone concerns only. If you are a HUBZone firm interested in this project and reasonably expect to submit a proposal, please respond by e-mail to tom.loy@grandforks.af.mil. Your response must include a positive statement of your remaining bonding capacity, list of similar jobs involving major renovations of large apartment or dormitory buildings completed within the last three years. You must also include references and all contracts now in progress. Your response must be complete and include this information; otherwise the government will assume a reasonable offer by your firm will not be expected. Your response is requested by 5 Dec 00. If you do not reply by this date, we will assume you are not interested in this project. Depending on responses from HUBZone concerns, this acquisition will either be a HUBZone set-aside or an unrestricted acquisition. Once issued, offerors must review the solicitation to determine offer eligibility. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. We estimate solicitation issue date to be 7 Dec 00. All contractors MUST certify by stating that they are registered in the Central Contractor Registration database or their proposal will not be considered.
