Description

Naval Air Systems Command intends to award an Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity, sole source type contract to Orbital Sciences Corporation to provide engineering, technical, and Acquisition Logistics Support (ALS) for the MQM-8G VANDAL aerial target system: MQM-8G STD high altitude diver, MQM-8G Extended Range (ER) sea skimmer, and the MQM-8G Extended Extended Range (EER); support equipment; test and checkout equipment; launch equipment; and flight control systems. In addition, Orbital Sciences Corporation will provide engineering, technical and ALS services required to operate the MQM-8G STD/ER/EER VANDALs at Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD), CA; Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), Barking Sands, HI; Wallops, Flight Facility (WFF), Va.; and White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM. Orbital Sciences Corporation is the only firm that possesses the intellectual property rights required to perform these tasks.
