Description

Red River Army Depot intends to issue a solicitation resulting in a requirements type contract for strip stock rubber, nsn, 264000x960135, in support of its track rebuild program. Contract period will be 12 months. Estimated quantity is 250,000 lbs. The compound is RMT-TP/TS. The compound formulation will be provided after receipt of a signed nondisclosure statement. Material must conform to MIL-DTL-11891G. The rubber will be provided in strip stock form(1.5 1.75" wide and .25 -- .3125" thick) Samples for first article testing (FAT) are required for firms who have not previously provided this product to this Depot. 150 pounds of the formulation in proper strip size must be provided in advance of the date set for receipt of proposals for FAT. FAT will consist of physical properties testing, TGA and adhesion testing on a pad insert and track shoe.
