- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N65236-01-R-0830 is hereby issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17 and DFARs Change Notice 20000522. The North American Industry Classification System Code for this procurement is 334220 and the size standard is 750 employees. The specification provided below is for twelve (12) each universal IBS/IDR Satellite Modems with options. The units will be used with an L3 Communications West SHM-1337 hub multiplexer assembly. Any universal IBS/IDR satellite modem that meets the minimum salient characteristics listed below is acceptable. Award of the contract resulting from this solicitation will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms with all the requirements of the solicitation, and whose proposal reflects the lowest price. The Government reserves the right to eliminate from further consideration those proposals which are considered non-responsive. An offer must quote on all items in this solicitation to be eligible for award. The Government intends to make a single award to the acceptable offeror whose total offer on all items is the most advantageous to the Government, on the basis of lowest price. Offeror's are reminded to include a completed copy of the FAR provision at 52.212-3 (with its Alt I and III), Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, as well as DFARs 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, and 252.225-7035, Buy American Act-North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act-Balance of Payments Program Certificate with their offers.
