Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commericial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number 01-001 is issued as a Request for Quotation for a firm-fixed price contract. The Government has a requirement for the quantity of one (1) each lightweight 48 channel seismograph with the following specifications [Brand Name or Approved Equivalent: Geometrics Stratavisor NZ 48 channel rugged seismograph with listed options]. Equivalent offers must meet or exceed the following specifications and must be approved by the Government's technical point of contact prior to consideration in filling this requirement -- 1. All data acquisition and controller equipment must be contained in a single weatherproof box, weighing 35 lbs or less, and portable by one person. 2. The system must be able to operate outdoors at temperatures of 0 degrees C (32 F) or lower, and in light rain. 3. The system must include an integral daylight-visible display and print capability. It must have a user-friendly menu driven setup and operating procedures. It must provide near real-time display of recorded data without processing. 4. The system must run on 12 VDC with a power consumption of 75 W or less. There must be a standby mode to reduce the power required to 30 W or less. 5. The system must record at least 48 independent channels of digital data simultaneously at 24-bits resolution or 16 bits plus 4 gain bits using Instantaneous Floating Point amplifiers. Measured instantaneous dynamic range must be 105 dB or better. It must have selectable preamplifier settings of at least 0 and 36 dB. Crosstalk rejection must be 110 dB or better. 6. The system must have selectable data sampling intervals in steps from 20 microseconds to 8 milliseconds or longer. The measured bandwidth of the system must be at least 2 Hz to 20 kHz, and with a flat response within 3 dB. The record length must be at least 64k points per channel. 7. The system must have an input impedance of 20 k-ohms or higher, and a noise floor of 0.3 microvolts rms or less. It must have a maximum input signal of 2.8 VPP or greater. 8. The system must use standard Cannon NK 27 twelve channel or Cannon or Bendix twenty-four channel geophone cable input connectors. 9. The system must provide a real-time, continuously updated noise monitor so that the background noise on each channel can be monitored. 10. The system must provide 32 bit stacking capability with the ability to protect selected channels from stacking. 11. The system must provide pre-trigger time delay and pre-trigger recording capability for 4k samples or more per channel. 12. The system must have a triggering channel to detect a switch opening, closing, or voltage threshold detection to better than of the sampling interval. In addition, the system must be able to self-trigger based on continuous monitoring of the geophones, automatically triggering when an amplitude threshold or ratio criterion is reached. 13. The system must provide selectable low cut, high cut, and notch filters for use during and after data acquisition. The filters must have selectable frequencies in multiple steps. All filters must have an OFF position. 14. The system must provide a controller using the Windows NT operating system. Data processing software must be provided for picking and saving travel times, plotting time-distance plots, refraction data interpretation including plotting depth sections and ray-tracing, and shallow reflection processing software. 15. The system must have SCSI and parallel interfaces for peripherals and data downloading. It must have on-board hard drive storage of 2 GB or greater. Data must be stored in either ASCII or SEG standard file formats. 16. The system must include a ruggedized shock absorbing shipping case, 12V power cable, hammer switch with cable, and a minimum of one copy each of all hardware and software manuals. 17. Spare parts must be provided for field repairs. The parts must include, as a minimum: A. CPU, video, and network replacements B. Data acquisition board (for at least 8 channels) C. Disk drive D. Any other critical parts that would prevent system recording operations in the event of a component failure.
