Description

The United States Agency for International Development Mission in Honduras, seeks the services of a U.S. architect-engineer firm to carry out ground water monitoring studies in the island of Utila, Sula Valley and Limon de la Cerca, Honduras. Repairs of the water systems in these sites will be ongoing during the execution of the studies. The selected firm will coordinate and provide information to the contractors repairing the respective water systems. The firm will also be expected to request all information compiled by the contractors especially with respect to any wells drilled by them. The studies will be supervised by USAID s local counterpart, the Directorate of Major Infrastructure (DIM) of the Honduran Social Investment Fund (FHIS). This activity is part of USAID's Hurricane Reconstruction Program to assure the sustainability of permanent repairs and expansions of selected water supply systems damaged by Hurricane Mitch. The expected duration of the contract is 11 months.
