Description

The VA Medical Center located at 7305 N. Military Trail West Palm Beach, Florida has a requirement for Architectural/Engineering Services to design a modern, state of the art, digital cardiac catheterization and electro-physiology laboratory. Design will be based on renovating existing space which is currently used as a minor operating room and equipment storage room within the existing operating room suite. The design will need to be a multi-phase design which provides for continuous use of the adjcent operating rooms during the renovation and installation phase of the cardiac cath equipment. The design will be based around equipment selected by the VA, but will be flexible enough to allow for multiple equipment selection. i.e., phased construction rough-in for actual equipment purchased. All designs shall incorporate all electrical, mechanical, structural and architectural components necessary to provide for a complete structural and functional area. Designs shall be in accordance with all applicable requirements of NFPA, EPA, OSHA, National Plumbing Code, National Electric Code, ASHRAE, National Safety Code, VA Specifications, VA Standard Details, VA Construction Standards, VA Space Planning Criteria H-08-9 and applicable local, state and federal regulations. Design services will include cost estimates, construction specifications, drawings and construction period services. All firms interested in providing these services must submit two (2) copies of current SF 254 and 255's to the Contracting Officer by 2:00 pm, local time, 12/20/00, to be considered. This is a 100% set-aside for small business solicitaiton. Any qualified firm submitting the required forms by 12/20/00 will be considered. SEE NUMBERED NOTES 1, 24 & 25.
