Description

The Amarillo VA Health Care System announces an opportunity for Architectural/Engineering (A/E) design services for the expansion of Specialty Clinics. The VA intends to contract for complete A/E design services as set forth below with the A/E design firm that demonstrates a commitment to excellence while providing a viable team organization that will meet the geographic and other limitations set forth in this announcement. The SIC and NAICS codes for this procurement are 8712 and 54131 respectively. The Solicitation Number for this procurement is 504-00-080. Project entails the development of schematics, design development and construction documents for the Expansion of Specialty Clinics to add an additional 3,000 G.S.F. to the existing facility. Design documents shall include architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, communication mediums (e.g., computer system accommodations), site demolition, reconfiguration of existing paved surfaces, earthwork, and other related disciplines necessary to complete new construction. The additional 3,000 G.S.F. of space shall match existing. Architectural and site conditions are limited to one level structure. The total estimated cost of construction for this project is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1 million. The estimated date for completion of Construction Documents is July-August 2001 with an anticipated construction award date not exceeding 9-30-01. The building is located at 6010 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo, Texas. The A/E design firm must have an active production office within a 400-mile radius. Potential offerors meeting the geographic limitations and having the design qualifications to perform the services described herein are invited to respond by submitting three (3) copies of the Standard Forms 254 and 255 with cover letter at the below listed address no later than 3:00pm CST on January 22, 2001.
