Description

The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to ACS, Inc. for the continuing self-healing fiber optic ring network currently operational in Anchorage, AK. See Note 22. The network connects six locations in Anchorage and consists of 28-DS-1s. However, this network will be downscaled upon award of this follow-on contract and will be continuously scaled down over the next 3-5 years until the fiber ring network is completely phased out. This contract will be issued for one year, with 4 one-year options. Pricing will be phased out over the life of this contract and the contract could be terminated as early as the second option year.
