Description
Changes in Section SF 30 1. Solicitation No. DACW61-01-B-0002 is hereby amended to revise H-101 Drydocking of McFARLAND by removing the existing and replacing with the following: The contractor's drydock facilities to be used in the performance of the work must meet Military Standard No. MIL-STD-1625C(SH) dated 25 August 1987, and Notice 1, dated 30 December 1992, at the time of award, as evidenced by receipt of a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) certificate. As an alternative to a NAVSEA certificate, the contractor may submit a signed and dated certificate from a Professional Engineer stating that the drydock facilities to be used in the performance of the work currently meet all of the requirements applicable to that type of drydocking facility listed in Military Standard No. MIL-STD-1625C(SH), dated 25 August 1987, and Notice 1 dated 30 December 1992. The Professional Engineer must have a license that is valid in any state in the U.S. at the time of award. Acceptance of this alternative certificate is subject to the review and approval of the most recent Facilities Certification Report (FCR) by the Contracting Officer. The FCR must be completed in accordance with applicable Military Standard No. MIL-STD-1625C(SH) requirements for the subject drydock facility. The Professional Engineer and any personnel performing the certification process, must meet the requirements listed under Paragraph 4.4.3 of MIL-STD-1625C(SH). 2. Remove Page 221 entitled Dredge McFARLAND Mileage Justification and replace with the attached. 3. Section B, Page 2, Item No. 0001, remove the following sentence in its entirety: " A failure to submit the required drydock certification prior to bid opening may result in rejection of the offer". 4. Current FY01 operating schedule has vessel operating in Delaware River prior to entry into the shipyard and the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet upon departure from the shipyard. Mobilization rate is the liquidated damage amount minus utilities and services plus fuels and lubricants, based on the actual number of days worked. $35,318/day mobilization rate/24 hours/day = $1472/hour $1472/hour @ 10.0 knots (speed light average) = $147.20 per nautical mile
