Description

The Naval Air System Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to place an order under the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-97-G-0093 or its follow-on BOA with Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), Bethpage, NY. The order will be for studies to: (1) develop and analyze potential engineering enhancements and possible engineering changes, both forward fit and retrofit, for future mission performance improvements; (2) analyze aircraft production, operations, and support cost reduction initiatives; and (3) develop a potential upgraded weapon system specification attendant to the foregoing enhancements and cost initiatives. As the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the E2-C Hawkeye Aircraft, NGC is the only known commercial source that possesses the required expertise and technical data necessary to perform the required efforts.
