Description

The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Armament, Research, Development and Engineering Center (TACOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000, intends to award a sole source contract to Honeywell Inc., Sensor & Guidance Products, 13350 U.S. Highway 19 North, Clearwater, FL. 33764- 7290. This requirement is for System Technical Support to provide repair and engineering support service to the Army for the Talin 3000. The Talin 3000 is a major system used in various Army weapon platforms, developed by Honeywell Inc., that meet the Government performance specification requirements. Honeywell has been pre-qualified and is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and designer for the Talin 3000 system. Since the Talin 3000 was bought under a performance specification developed by the Government, the Government does not hold the data rights of the Talin 3000 design. For the requirement under this announcement, the contractor is responsible to insure that the repaired Talin 3000 are fully functional without technical input from the Government. The contractor is also required to obtain the technical knowledge of the Talin 3000 to provide engineering service to the Government when requested to include system integration with various system platforms and engineering feasibility studies. The contract will be a task order type contract and the effort is for a period of 6 months. This announcement is for Market Research information only. This is not a solicitation.
