- This serves as answers to questions that were asked on solicitation number DAHA23-01-R-0001, Education and Training Services/Automation Training. The Submission No. for this solicitation was 5060M9 dated November 6, 2000. Question 1:Item 2 states Certifications does this refer to Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco or other? Answer: Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco. The clause that allows the government to modify the class based on technology changes e.g. hardware/software/application might require additional certifications. These additional certifications would be negotiable. Question 2: Do you have a list of what classes you would like offered? Answer: Yes, but only courses in Missouri are desired. Please send an email request to Kerrey.Renkemeyer@mo.ngb.army.mil for the listing. Question 3: Are you asking for a "stand-up" class in Missouri and Distant Learning everywhere else or Distant Learning, or a combination? Answer: Stand-up in Missouri, Distant Learning everywhere else, with the exception for the hands on component required for certification. Question 4: Who is responsible for providing the hardware for the Distant Learning Students? Answer: The Government with the exception of the Cisco router hands on component lab. Question 5: What qualifications or accreditations are you looking for? Certified by Microsoft or someone else? Does each course have to be equal to a college credit? Answer: The course and institution must be accredited by North Central (or equivalent) and the instructors must be certified Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco etc. Question 6: If one day of training is 8 hours, but we have to give 2 hour classes over several weeks we will incur additional expenses, can you clarify this? Answer: The government will notify you of the classes to be segmented. The vendor should make their proposal accordingly. The government does not foresee any additional cost. Question 7: If the teacher is not responsible for screening the students, how can they be held responsible for someone passing or failing and only get cost for a failure? Answer: The students are IT professionals working for the government in an IT capacity. They have all completed a selection process. Question 8: Do the instructors need to be certified by Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco or all three? Answer: Yes for each class they present they must be appropriately certified. Question 9: Can higher education institutions participate in small business set-aside? Answer: The Small Business Administration has said that only for-profit businesses can participate in small business set-aside. Question 10: In the cost proposal do we need to include as a separate proposal, travel costs for each course? Answer: Yes. All proposals are due by 1200 hours on November 28, 2000
