Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound (FISCPS) has a requirement for up to 260 resilient mounts. This requirement consists of two types of mounts; type one: In accordance with Mil-M-17508F, Navy STD. DWG 803-1385778, type 7e450-NM. Type two mounts in accordance with Mil-M-17508F, Navy STD DWG 803-1385778, type 6E900-NM. These mounts are to be installed on U.S. Navy minesweepers, shall have a magnetic permeability of 2.0 or less, and be shock tested in accordance with Mil-S-901D. The resulting contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ), with a NTE base quantity of up to 60 units for type one, 40 units for type two; FY 02 option for up to 48 units for type one, up to 32 units for type two; FY03 option for up to 48 units for type one and 32 units for type two. Delivery is to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard will be required within 16 weeks after delivery order issuance. This acquisition will be solicited on a "non-commercial" basis, utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 15, Negotiated Acquisition. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or about 01 Dec 00 and close on or about 20 Jan 01. Evaluation will be based upon best value analysis, with past performance being moderately more important than price. When issued the RFP will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP from the NECO website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFP. As drawing #803-1385778, Rev. N, is not available electronically, offerors may e-mail request to Robin Shafer, e-mail address listed below. No telephone or fax requests for the RFP package will be accepted. An email request to robin_L_shafer@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFP from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFP and/or amendments will be mailed. All responsible sources may submit an offer, if received in a timely manner, shall be considered by FISCPS. Note 26 applies.
